Casa Verde Missionary House
Casa Verde is a missionary house in Puerto Barrios, Guatemala. We host teams of all ages. We receive ministry teams, church teams and the occasional random team. The time of stay differs depending on the group and can be anywhere from a few days to a few months. Teams will be given a missionary experience and will have opportunities to serve in various programs. If the team brings money for a project we can facilitate projects from building a small home to painting a home or church, or just visiting house to house helping elderly with whatever need they may have around the house.
Here is what a day at the mission house may look like, keep in mind the dynamic of each team will be slightly different:
07.00 – 07.30 – Breakfast

Community is a huge part of staying here at Casa Verde. Living together, doing ministry together, having fun together and growing together! This builds deep, long-lasting relationships and together grow closer to God in the process.
When teams first arrive, we do team building activities such as relay races and scavenger hunts. This is a fun way to learn how to work together and builds unity which are characteristics needed to successfully do ministry and live together.
Times of worship, prayer, and intersession together are amazing! Together we sit in the presence of the Lord, worship Him, and pray wholeheartedly. Through this time we draw closer to God.
It is always fun learning new things and here we get to do it together! All you need is your smile and energy!
Sometimes you just need time to “hang around” and relax. Perhaps in your free time you want to relax in the fresh air while reading, writing in your journal or spending time with God. With a spacious yard there is plenty of room to do so and there many trees where you can hang your hammock!
